About Us
We are a church that is centered existence and guide God's mission: To evangelize, make disciples, planting churches and missions Open. Nothing excites us more than the maximum of God expressed in his word. And Jesus came and said to them: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20). Counting people from almost all Latin America, the Caribbean and USA, we have a church of great cultural wealth. We believe this training is a gateway to many that God is training for the call to the ministry of the Word in USA and around the world. The dock with the culture of others, other accents and customs of other makes it possible to open the door to missions in other countries and parts of the country is part of our prayer before God. We are a people eager to grow in spiritual maturity and in numbers, so that we can continue to carry the gospel all over this world that needs Christ.
Pastoral Family
Pastor Luis and his wife Carol have been married 21 years. The ministry of our church family from Costa Rica, where our pastor served the Lord for many years as co-pastor, music minister, youth leader, Bible teacher, professor at the seminary of the church, and many other tasks a servant of the Lord. His wife Carol has been a partner in ministry throughout his life. She is dedicated to raising the area of childhood education within the church and recently the women's ministry. Carolina's sister, by the grace of God, received his MA in Special Education, which has trained more to help the church community and the community in which we work as a church. Pastor Luis and Carolina, have two sons, Daniel and David, who are involved in music every day.
History of our Church
The church was started years ago by the vision of Pastor Steve Reynolds, pastor of the English-speaking church. God placed in the heart of this man's need to reach Hispanics in the area and through some bilingual Hispanic brothers soon began meetings.
The group came to have a pastor, Pastor Reynolds's desire to see a fruitful ministry. For the sake of the Lord, the pastor in charge moved to another place of ministry and the Lord brought to the church by Pastor Luis Salazar of Costa Rica, who was already three years in North Carolina to work among Hispanics in that area. With the help of God, the church was founded (Stream of Life Baptist Church), the ministry of Discipleship was working and paying off so that the pastor Luis was time to go to another place.
It was then that he began his work with a group of about 20 people. After 10 years and through biblical teaching and teamwork, God has been added which should be saved to arrive today to have an attendance of between 240 to 270 on Sundays and Wednesdays of 130 150.
Our church today is honored and blessed to help in the ministry of the Word to missionary groups throughout the world and has given the privilege to pastor Luis de might preach in a good number of churches nationally and internationally.
We hope that our story leave a mark on eternity of hundreds or thousands of souls who need salvation in Jesus Christ.
